In 2000, Stéphane Marcel, Anthony Clenet, Philippe Grzesiak and Thomas Voisin were studying agronomy when their desire to improve the expertise of the agricultural industry through the use of innovative IT tools was born.  The market study revealed a total lack of connected and collaborative IT tools while those working in the industry expressed a need for them; the 4 founders decided to create Agreo: the first web solution dedicated to the agricultural and agribusiness industries. The expert approach and advanced technology caused an immediate stir on the market for this simple, collaborative and progressive tool.

Rapid and continuous success, sustained growth

Significant actors on the market (Bonduelle, Euralis, Arterris, Listel, Terrena, etc.) soon came to trust Neotic which became the agricultural extranet solutions leader within its first few years. The very innovative and completely modular character of this extranet appealed to all types of businesses (cooperatives, traders, food-processing industries, etc.), of all sizes, throughout the growing industry (arable crops, vitiviniculture, market gardening, arboriculture, etc.). Now, in 2011, Neotic boasts more than 200 clients, medium and large accounts, and nearly 33,000 authenticated users; and as for the Agreo extranet, it has provided traceability for more than 2 million hectares.

Neotic's success has translated into sustained growth over the years: its turnover is 13 times higher now than it was in its first year and its average annual growth is 40%.

Constant innovation and double expertise : key factors for success

One of Neotic's main strengths lies in its capacity to remain at the forefront of technology. By taking the trailblazing decision to produce a web solution, Neotic immediately overtook the competition and has been able to maintain its lead thanks to its extremely ambitious Research and Development policy which represents about 15% of its turnover.  In just 10 years, Neotic has received 15 prizes for Innovation and 15 of its research projects have been officially approved.
 

Another key factor for the success of the company:  its double agronomic and IT expertise which has enabled it to better grasp the market, understand the needs of its clients and translate these into a simple, flexible, progressive, modular IT solution (more than 50 modules available based on the needs of each profession). More than 20,000 man hours of development have been required to make Agreo the multiple solution it is today, adapted to each specific client need.

The meat production market is another growth lever for Neotic. In fact, after concentrating its resources and ambitions on the vegetable production market for 10 years, Neotic, urged on strongly by its clients, is set to respond to their needs and those of the market by offering a new Agreo for all animal farming professionals by the end of 2011.
